Buying & Trading Policy

Rookies 2 Goats buys and trades a wide variety of sports and non-sports trading cards, including both raw and graded cards. Our goal is to make the process fair, simple, and transparent for collectors and sellers.

How We Determine Value

All offers and trade values are based on factors including:

  • Recent comparable sales
  • Current market demand
  • Card condition
  • Player, character, or set popularity
  • Rarity and serial numbering
  • Autographs, patches, parallels, and short prints
  • Grading company and grade
  • Population reports, when applicable
  • Overall resale potential and expected time to sell

We use recent sold market data, not current asking prices, as the primary guide when determining value.

Cash Purchase Offers

Cash offers vary by card and current market conditions. As general guidelines, Rookies 2 Goats may offer approximately:

  • 50%–60% of market value for slower-moving or lower-demand cards
  • 60%–70% of market value for most desirable singles and graded cards
  • Up to 70%–75% of market value for highly liquid, in-demand cards at our discretion

These percentages are guidelines only and are not guaranteed.

Trade Value

Trade value is generally higher than cash value. Rookies 2 Goats may offer approximately 75%–85% of current market value in trade value, depending on the cards involved, market demand, condition, and resale potential.

Trades may include card-for-card trades, multiple cards toward one higher-value card, one card toward multiple cards, raw and graded cards, sports and non-sports cards, and partial trade plus cash when agreed upon.

All trade values must be agreed upon before the transaction is completed.

Raw & Graded Cards

Raw cards are evaluated based on their current value as raw cards. Condition factors may include centering, surface, corners, edges, print defects, creases or damage, authenticity, alterations, or trimming. Potential future grading value is not guaranteed and will not automatically be included in an offer.

We consider cards graded by reputable grading companies, including PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, TAG, and others at our discretion. Graded card values may vary based on the grading company, grade, population, current demand, and recent comparable sales.

Authentication & Inspection

All cards are subject to inspection before a final purchase or trade is completed. Rookies 2 Goats may decline any item due to concerns regarding authenticity, trimming, alteration, restoration, counterfeit slabs or cards, misrepresented condition, or damage not visible in submitted photos.

Higher-value cards or collections may require additional verification.

Online & Photo-Based Offers

Any offer made from photographs, video, messages, or online submissions is preliminary. A final offer may change after physical inspection if condition, authenticity, grade, variation, numbering, or other details differ from the original information provided.

Collections & Bulk Purchases

Rookies 2 Goats may purchase individual cards, small lots, or full collections. Large collections may be evaluated individually or as a group. Bulk purchases may receive a lower blended percentage due to sorting, inventory, labor, marketability, and expected resale time.

We reserve the right to purchase only selected cards from a collection.

Shipping Cards to Us

Do not mail or ship cards to Rookies 2 Goats until we have authorized the shipment and provided instructions.

For approved mail-in transactions, the seller is responsible for secure packaging and should use tracking and appropriate insurance. Payment is issued only after the cards have been received, inspected, and the final offer has been accepted.

Seller Representation

By selling or trading cards to Rookies 2 Goats, the seller confirms that they are the lawful owner of the cards or are authorized to sell or trade them, that the cards are not stolen or unlawfully obtained, and that information provided about the cards is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Final Transactions

Once a purchase has been completed and payment has been issued, or a trade has been agreed upon and completed, the transaction is considered final unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Review Time

Most submissions are reviewed within 1–3 business days. Larger collections, card-show weekends, holidays, and periods of high submission volume may take longer.

Right to Decline

Rookies 2 Goats reserves the right to decline any purchase or trade at our discretion. Submitting cards for review does not guarantee an offer or transaction.
